EN-15038 European Quality Standard for Vertaalbureau Boot

Vertaalbureau Boot has been certified under the much-coveted EN-15038 European Quality Standard for Translation Services for some time now. This standard is widely regarded as the best quality assurance in the industry.
Why the need for a quality standard?
In order to regulate a positive and uniform development of the European translation industry, the European Committee for Standardisation set up the EN-15038 European Quality Standard for Translation Services. The Netherlands contributes to this standard by means of a committee that is supervised by the Netherlands Standardisation Institute (Nederlandse Normalisatie-Instituut, or NEN). The standard applies to the actual process of translation and all the aspects of service provision that relate to this process, including quality assurance.
The EN-15038 sets out the requirements that translation service providers must meet with regard to the use of people and resources, project management, procedures and quality assurance. This new European standard replaces all existing national standards for the translation industry and serves as the basis for certification. Vertaalbureau Boot has satisfied the requirements of this standard for quite some time and is now also proud holder of the European KIWA Quality Mark. This is a true testament to the high standard of our work, allowing us to clearly distinguish ourselves in the market.
